Police were investigating the shooting deaths of two men at 244 Pine St. early Tuesday morning. People at the scene said the victims had been shot in the head.

Police identified the victims as Victor Sheldon and Roger Day.

Police began receiving reports of the shooting at about 10 p.m. No suspects were in custody by midnight, police Chief Stacy Carter said.

Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland confirmed that detectives had been dispatched to work with Rumford police on the investigation.

Two blocks of Pine Street were cordoned off, between Oxford Street and Maine Avenue, and anyone entering the restricted area was escorted by police.

A woman identified by neighbors as one victim's aunt was sobbing loudly as she hugged a man with a beard.

The mother of one of the victims fainted near the scene late Monday and was taken to a hospital by ambulance, a neighbor at the scene said.

Two ambulances were at the intersection of Pine and Oxford streets.

About 30 people were standing at either end of the cordoned-off area, as neighbors, family members and authorities converged on the scene.

The small, dark family home where the shooting happened is in a residential neighborhood, surrounded by other homes, including apartment houses and a mobile home.

Two men shot dead at a Pine Street address. State police received a report of a Firearm Discharge at 244 Pine Street, the Address is "Anthony and Jeremy Richards" they received the call at about 10:00 Pm. not much more is known right now...

Finally a new post

Well, summer is finally here and its managed to rain just about everyday this summer... I managed to get to 3 pools 3 or 4 times.

Bike Accident

ok....so we were going for our bike ride, As usual, Me, Alex and Bradley, we were on our way to chris's house, which it on Pine St. Alex went down the hill first, followed by bradley and me, I had my camera attached to my bike, but not on, anyway...there were some kids on the side of the road, one kid stepped out in front oh bradley, Bradley Mauled this kid, the kid went down, followed by bradley. Bradley's bike flipped about 2 and a half times, followed by him hitting his head on the pavement. the kid was fine, he got up and screamed and ran to his house, he had scrapes on his head and arm, but bradley had a concussion and multiple cuts......anyway...thats what happened to us on Monday night... bradley's bike was totalled....
